Recognising Australia’s National Skin Check Day

Australia’s National Skin Check Day (ANSCD) falls on the last Thursday of summer every year and is upcoming on 23 February 2023! An initiative of Mates Against Melanoma, ANSCD encourages all Australians to book in their regular skin cancer check for post-summer damage control and peace of mind for another year.

ANSCD is a national action day for our national cancer!” says Mates Against Melanoma, a non-profit organisation that established the annual day to raise public awareness of the prevalence of skin cancer and to increase community participation rates for the early detection of melanoma.

Early detection provides the best chance of a successful cure following less invasive and less expensive treatment. It might even save your life.

With one Australian losing their life to melanoma every five hours, regular skin cancer checks are of utmost importance.

Have you booked your skin check for 2023?

Mates Against Melanoma encourages the public to support Australia’s National Skin Check Day by booking a skin check.

“We ask you to join us on this journey and spread the word through your network or friends and family as it could save your life, that of a family member or your best mate.

“Join the Mates Against Melanoma early detection revolution and to help us save lives.”
