MBBS, FRACGP, Skin Cancer Accredited Doctor
Dr Katya Malchukova is a Skin Cancer Accredited Doctor who has undertaken advanced training in skin cancer medicine, surgery and dermoscopy through HealthCert Education and Skin Cancer College Australasia. She has worked for several years across general practices and skin clinics in Hobart, including in the Kingborough and Sorell areas.
Dr Malchukova is passionate about skin cancer medicine and finds it highly rewarding, as skin cancer is one of the most preventable cancers and can be diagnosed with visual clues. Most skin cancers are curable when diagnosed early, and Dr Malchukova loves to tell her patients “your skin cancer is cured!” and develop a follow-up plan for early detection of possible future cancers. She graduated from medical school in Saint Petersburg, Russia and moved to Australia in 2005, where her postings included Royal Hobart Hospital. She completed her GP training in Hobart and gained Royal Australian College of General Practitioners’ Fellowship in 2019.
