How does IPL for skin rejuvenation and pigmentation work?
IPL uses light to target a certain pigment in your skin. When the skin is heated, your body sheds the unwanted cells, thus treating your skin concern. Unlike laser, IPL devices emit more than one wavelength of pulsating light to target pigment, vessels, or collagen, resulting in an improvement in skin tone, texture and elasticity, and removing unwanted capillaries.

Frequently asked questions
How many IPL sessions do I need?
Many patients start noticing a difference as soon as they walk out of the centre! After just one session, your skin starts healing and improving in appearance. The average treatment usually consists of three to five short sessions spaced about four to six weeks apart where you can enjoy noticeable improvements within one week each time!
Is IPL skin treatment painful?
IPL skin rejuvenation can be slightly uncomfortable at times, but the sensation gets less and less noticeable as more sessions are completed. Some patients compare it to having a small rubber band flicked lightly on the skin, after which there is no discomfort at all.
How long does the skin take to heal following IPL treatment?
IPL does not result in peeling or damage to the skin, but the skin needs time to heal and rejuvenate. The healing process usually lasts about a week but can be as short as two or three days.
How often should I have IPL skin rejuvenation?
You may need a few IPL treatments, with each being one month (or four weeks) apart from the last. This is important because your skin will need time to heal and stimulate collagen after each treatment, and too frequent sessions can cause skin sensitivity.
After the initial skin rejuvenation therapy, it won’t be necessary for more than an occasional maintenance session every once in a while to maintain healthy-looking, beautiful glowing and youthful skin.
How long does IPL treatment last?
The amazing results from IPL treatment can last around a year.
What is IPL treatment good for?
IPL skin rejuvenation is the ideal treatment for sun damage, pigmentation, discolouration, rosacea, broken capillaries, acne scarring, poor skin texture, dull skin, and an uneven skin tone - and more.
