Dr Abha Chikarsal holds postgraduate qualifications in Minor Surgical Procedures and Dermatology and provides complete care in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment in the best interest of her patients at Redcliffe Skin Cancer Centre. She enjoys working in the challenging and stimulating field of skin cancer. She is particularly skilled at performing skin lesion biopsies and procedures on elderly “paper-thin” skin, and has extensive experience in surgical procedures such as suturing and wound dressing for different types of skin wounds.
After obtaining her medical degrees, Dr Chikarsal worked extensively in general practice, gaining experience treating a diverse range of patients from infants to the elderly, with a special interest in dermatology and skin cancer medicine. Dr Chikarsal is a Fellow and examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (Queensland faculty) and regularly participates in continuing professional development activities.
