Dr David Tunchon has a strong interest in the field of skin cancer diagnosis and treatment and has undertaken various postgraduate qualifications in skin cancer medicine including a Professional Certificate of Dermoscopy, Professional Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine, Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine, and Professional Diploma of Skin Cancer Medicine. He particularly enjoys dermoscopic diagnosis of skin cancer and procedural treatments to achieve optimal cosmetic outcomes.
Dr Tunchon graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Deakin University in Geelong, Victoria in 2015. After completing his internship at the University Hospital Geelong, he relocated back home to the Sunshine Coast, working across multiple public and private hospitals as a Resident Medical Officer prior to attaining his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2022. He now works primarily in the field of skin cancer medicine and is committed to ongoing education in the field.
