Dr Maysa Abu Laban holds a master’s degree in Skin Cancer Medicine from The University of Queensland in addition to a Diploma in Skin Cancer Medicine & Surgery and advanced certificates in dermoscopy. She has a wealth of knowledge and now over 19 years' experience in the field of aesthetic medicine.
Dr Abu Laban is the pioneer of wide scale IPL treatments in Western Australia; her Quantum IPL was the first in the state. She has performed thousands of IPL treatments for a wide variety of skin problems including rosacea, skin hyperpigmentation and sun damaged skin. She was one of the first doctors in WA to perform thread face lifting and lipodissolve / Mesotherapy, having been personally trained by the world pioneers in both fields, Dr Gustavo Leibaschoff and Dr Haseng Schwandter.
She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1989 and went on to do further studies and training in the fields of internal medicine, cosmetic medicine and skin cancer medicine and surgery. She is a Fellow of the Cosmetic Physicians College of Australasia and a Member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom.
Dr Abu Laban has performed over 1000 thread lift procedures. She is also very experienced with volume replacement and muscle relaxants and is known for her natural and artistic results. She regularly attends both domestic and international workshops and conferences for the most up-to-date training and knowledge.
