Melanographer at Gardens Skin Cancer Centre
Elena West is a dedicated Melanographer committed to preventive health and skin cancer management. Since joining Gardens Skin Cancer Centre in 2019, Elena has been at the forefront of the fight against skin cancer in the areas of early detection and patient education.
Armed with a Bachelor of Health and Biomedical Science in Dermal Science and a postgraduate qualification in Cutaneous Oncology, Elena brings a wealth of expertise to the field. She is passionate about bridging the gap in lengthy waitlists for skin checks and empowering patients with essential knowledge about their skin health.
In addition to seeing patients, Elena has also been instrumental in training medical professionals in the art of dermoscopy. She has spoken on skin cancer panels at conferences, served on the teaching faculty at Victoria University, and actively participated in the Australian Society of Dermal Clinicians.
